Owner and Agency Principal, Caleb joined Sumner Insurance Services in 2009 and assumed sole ownership in 2020 after his father, Keith Sumner, retired. Caleb holds an active Health & Life Insurance Producer, Property & Casualty Insurance Producer, and Travel Insurance licenses. He also has an active Series 7 and Series 66 Securities License.  Caleb comes from a line of insurance industry experts dating back to 1956. As a third-generation agency, Sumner Insurance Services continues as a full-service insurance agency which specializes in senior market insurance products including Medicare-related plans, prescription drug plans, health and life insurance, and annuity products. Sumner also offers a comprehensive line of property and casualty insurance products as well as various lines of business insurance. Led by Caleb, Sumner Insurance Services maintains strong business relationships and carrier contracts with over 175+ companies and is successfully licensed to sell in multiple US States.

 

Caleb advocates for quality, affordable insurance options for his clients and truly values the trust and relationships he maintains with others.  He leads by example through active involvement within the industry and community he supports. Caleb holds the distinct honor of being a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Caleb has been involved with the Senior Marketing Specialists Advisory Council since its inception in 2010 and formally serves as the Advisory Council Chairman. Caleb is also a member of the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA). Additionally, Caleb currently serves as the President Elect of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) for the state of Missouri. Community commitment and involvement is important to Caleb. The Sumner Insurance Services agency is an active member of the Sedalia Chamber of Commerce, and a supporting sponsor to many organizations within and around Sedalia and neighboring communities. 

 

In his time away from the office, Caleb serves as a local private school board president, is active at his local church, manages a hobby farm, and has a passion for camping, fishing, and classic car restoration. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife Casey, who co-manages the agency, and enjoys traveling and adventures with their four children, Matthew, Madeline, Molly, and Mia.
